This summer we’ll be exploring earth’s elements and ecosystems! Woodland Summer participants will dive into five days of nature based fun at Woodland Community School. From the forest behind the school, to the babbling brook out front, to the fields of Meadowstone Farm children will get their hands dirty, get wet, visit farm critters, sing songs, create art, engage in maker-activities, and come home with stories to share! Each week will include one ‘off campus’ field trip to a local forest ecosystem!

The flow of the week will allow for whole group adventures and activities as well as time for more individual choice. Morning time will be dedicated to hands-on experiences that focus on earth’s life and elements - plants, animals, earth, water, air and fire. Each week will have a different life or element thread. During the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to choose between a variety of ‘elements’ activities to honor their individual interests. Sessions are designed to be different from one another so that children can attend all six and continue to engage in new offerings, although favorite activities may keep coming back at the children’s request!

We can’t wait to see you there!
